Stonewall Alliance is seeking a dedicated Finance Director to join the executive team. As a key member of the leadership team, the Finance Director will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, developing financial strategies, and ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the organization. This role requires a proactive and strategic thinker with a passion for the nonprofit sector and a commitment to our mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management and Oversight
    • Oversee all financial operations and direct financial planning and structure.
    • Manage the organization’s budgeting processes, including annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
    • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the organization’s financial records and reports.
    • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
    • Oversee audits and work with external auditors to ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
    • Manage risk by analyzing the organization’s liabilities.
  • Strategic Planning
    • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the organization’s mission and goals.
    • Advise the Executive Director and Board on financial matters, including financial planning, budget management, and cash flow management.
    • Participate in strategic planning initiatives and provide financial insights to support organizational decision-making.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Supervise, mentor, and develop the finance team.
    • Foster a collaborative and positive working environment.
    • Provide training and development opportunities to ensure the team’s continuous growth and improvement.
  • Fundraising and Grants Management
    • Support the finance committee in preparing budgets for grant applications and fundraising initiatives.
    • Monitor grant funding and ensure compliance with all reporting requirements.
