Stonewall Alliance, Inc. is a Pittsburgh-based, volunteer-run, non-profit LGBTQ+ and Ally organization with a mission dedicated to creating a unified community by offering opportunities for celebration, education, and recreation.

These roles are non-paid, volunteer positions.

Qualifying Experience
Our goal is to have leaders (commissioners and board members) with interest or experience in the activity or sport in which they will lead. Experience in leading large groups of people is also helpful. Describe your history playing in Stonewall or relate some experience you have working with large groups of people or large events? (Please be detailed and specific in your answer, highlighting all prior experience you have that would be beneficial in running a large scale sporting event.)
Time Commitment & Dedication
Being a commissioner (or board member) requires a considerable amount of dedication with time and energy. Commissioners, in particular, are responsible for coordinating setting up for the sport, running the day's activities, and managing events associated with the league. Board members must adhere to monthly meeting requirements and expected participation in community events between those meetings. Tell us how you feel that you would manage this commitment?
Player Experience & Community Involvement
Each sport/program is a part of a larger group that involves celebration, education, outreach, and recreation to the LGBTQ community and its' allies. What values can you bring to the organization that will enhance the player experience and community involvement?
