You Can Play 2018

In conjunction with the National Hockey League, the Pittsburgh Penguins are proud to celebrate the You Can Play initiative during their game against Calgary. This night is meant to show support for LGBT inclusion and equality in all sports.

We chose this date, and opponent, because of the significance that Brian Burke, General Manager of the Calgary Flames, and his son Brendan have had within this community. When Brendan publicly came out, he was a huge advocate for tolerance and speaking out against homophobia in professional sports. Brendan was tragically killed in a car accident and his death was the catalyst for forming the You Can Play initiative.

We at The Delta Foundation, in partnership with the Pens are extending you a special offer and steeply discounted tickets of just $50 each for this Penguins game. The Pens have additionally donated use of a luxury box for our under-served youth to enjoy a professional hockey game.

This is a tremendous, and unprecedented offer by the Pittsburgh Penguins to the LGBT community. Please purchase your tickets as soon as possible and forward this email along to our friends and allies. It would be a great show of support for the Penguins, our community, and our city to have this event sell out.

For accessible seating accommodations, please contact the Pittsburgh Penguins Customer Service Department at (412) 642-1842.

We look forward to seeing you at PPG Paints Arena! Go Pens!
